The Porto Center Office building is part of an area of Salonica that is undergoing a complete urban remodeling. The building consists of 8 floors, with retail spaces available at the ground and mezzanine floors.
The architectural solution of the complex takes advantage of the plot being surrounded by adjacent roads. It consists of a volume that extends around a central courtyard which can be accessed through openings to the exterior. The complex is made of several different volumes: a glass cylinder, a bar that is connected by a glass bridge and a “U-shaped” building curving around the central courtyard. This represents the central element of interest, where bridges and staircases, greenery and reflective pools flank a central café maximizing social encounter and exchange.
